How to Make Halloween Play Doh Cards
These Halloween favours are incredibly simple to put together.
Step 1: Download and Print
Print on cardstock.
For the best results, use your printer’s highest-quality setting appropriate for cardstock. Make sure your printer is capable of handling the weight of the cardstock you choose.
If Bleed is an option, make sure it is off. This helps prevent blurring.
Tip: Print one sheet first as a test. This allows you to check the colours, margins, and size before printing the entire batch.
Step 2: Cut Out the Cards
Once the cards have finished printing, allow the ink to dry completely if necessary.
Carefully cut around the outside of each Halloween card using scissors or a paper trimmer.
A paper trimmer can make cutting a large number of cards much quicker and gives you nice, straight edges.
Step 3: Create the Hole
Use an X-Acto knife or punch to make a hole in the designated area of the card.
Take your time with this step and make sure the hole is positioned so that the Play-Doh container sits securely without covering too much of the Halloween design.
If you’re making these for a large group, you can use the first finished card as a template to help keep the hole placement consistent.
Step 4: Add the Mini Play-Doh
Now it’s time to add the fun part!
Insert the mini Play-Doh container through the hole in the card. Depending on the size of the Play-Doh container and the punched hole, the card can hold the container securely.
If you find that your particular containers don’t stay in place on their own, you can add a little tape under the card to hold it in place.
Step 5: Hand Them Out!
