Helpful Tips
Alternative Paper
I recommend brochure paper, which is thin 30 lb photo paper. You can print these printable Christmas candy wrappers on just about any paper. Regular printer paper will not give a vibrant, glossy look, but it is more budget-friendly. When shopping for paper, look for instant dry, glossy, brilliant colour that is 25-35 pound weight.
Chocolate Bar Size
These candy bar wrappers fit a standard-sized chocolate bar. For smaller bars, trim the inside of the design. For larger bars, do not trim around the outer border; instead, add a white border.
An alternative to double-sided tape.
Double-sided tape provides a seamless look, but regular tape will work fine, but be visible. Tacky glue, sold in pens, also works well, but be mindful of extra moisture and extra drying time. I do not recommend hot glue as it can cause chocolate to melt, depending on the temperature of the glue.
Adding Embelishments
To add a little extra to your candy bars, consider the following embellishments:
- Add glitter to the lettering,
- Add a pom pom to the hat,
- Add a little faux fur for the hat trim. (Cotton balls also work)
- Add 3D snowflake stickers to the wrapper
I hope you enjoy this easy DIY. It is fun to wrap up your holiday treats in festive style with these printable Christmas candy bar wrappers! They’re a quick and easy way to add a cheerful touch to your holiday gifting. Perfect for stocking stuffers, party favours, or small gifts for friends and coworkers.
