How to Make a New Years Eve Party Bags

1 – To get started, you will need to download the free printable mew years eve party bags file. Just click on the button below to download.
2 – Send the download to your printer. For the best results, I recommend the following settings :
- Print Quality: High or Best
- Bordeless: Fill the entire page to avoid the need to trim
- Bleed: Off – this is not an option on all printer software, but if you have it, turn it off.
- Print on the glossy side of the paper
3 – Once printed, give the page a few seconds to fully dry to avoid any smudging.
4 – Fold the page, centring the front image and overlapping the back center seam slightly. Press the folds to create crease lines.
5 – Run a line of tape across the bottom and on one side of the back center seam.
6 – Fold back over and press the seams to adhere the tape.
7 – Add your filler items to the bag.
8 – Run a line of tape along the inside of the top edge of the bag. One side is all you need to do.
9 – Press to seal shut.
10 – If desired, use a paper crimper to crimp the top and bottom edges of the bag.

Helpful Tips
Alternative Paper Choices
For best results, I recommend using brochure paper or lightweight photo paper. A glossy finish will provide the most vibrant colours and a polished, professional appearance. Regular printer paper is a more budget-friendly option and will still work well, while the colours may not appear as vivid, the finished bags will still be a hit with both adults and kids.
Finishing Touches
In this DIY, I did not use a paper crimper. I liked the look of the finished bag without it.
For most of my printable chip bags, I always use a crimper; I did not use one here, but one can be used. If you don’t have a paper crimper but still want to achieve a decorative, finished look, there are several effective alternatives. Decorative-edged scissors can add a stylish touch to the top and bottom of the chip bag, creating a visually appealing finish. You can also lightly score horizontal lines using a scoring tool or even a dull butter knife to mimic the textured appearance of a crimped edge.
For an even cleaner result, fold along the scored lines before sealing, which helps create crisp, professional-looking edges. While these methods won’t fully replicate the effect of a crimper, they offer simple, budget-friendly ways to elevate the presentation of your chip bags without additional tools.
Consider adding glitter, ribbon or your favourite decorative touches to these printable New Years Eve party bags.
I hope you enjoy these printable New Years Eve party bags and that they add an extra sparkle to your celebration! Whether you’re filling them with party favours, toys or treats, your guests will have everything they need when the clock hits midnight!
