Peppermint Pitted Snowball Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Butter - softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Walnuts - finely chopped
  • 24 Hershey's peppermint kisses
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (icing sugar)

Instructions
 

  • Cream together butter, sugar and vanilla until so and fluffy.
  • Add sifted flour and walnuts and blend well.
  • Chill dough for at least 20 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375 °
  • Remove all wrappings from hershey's kisses.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Use approximately 1 tbsp of dough to cover a hershey's kiss.
  • Shape each one into a round ball, making sure the kiss is not visible and completely covered.
  • Bake on parchment paper for aproximiately 12 minutes. Do not let get brown.
  • Let cool slightly until they are warm.
    Roll in powdered sugar.
  • Chill and store in a tightly sealed container.
