Easy to Make Kinetic Sand
Kinetic Sand is a fantastic sensory toy that both children and adults can enjoy. This easy recipe is budget friendly and can be made in a few minutes.
Materials
- 2 1/2 cups Clean Coloured Sand (Fine play sand)
- 1 1/2 cups Cornstarch
- 1/2 cup Coconut Oil (more if too dry)
- 2 tsp White PVA Glue
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sand and the cornstarch, mix well until there are no lumps.
- Pour in the coconut oil and continue mixing untilt he sand begins to clump together.
- Add white PVA glue and mix it into the sand.
- Store, tightly covered in plastic wrap.
Notes
- If you are unable to find coloured play sand, you can add colour by adding food colouring to the coconut oil before mixing.
