Shaker cards are one of those crafts that look extra special but are surprisingly easy to make. Perfect for kids! With a little paper, a shaker insert and some candy, these Valentine shaker cards become both a sweet treat and a mini toy.

Shaker cards are interactive, colourful, and noisy, in the best way. Kids can customize what goes inside, choose their favourite candy, and give the card a good shake to watch everything move around. Plus, they’re sturdy enough to survive backpacks and classroom cubbies.
What You’ll Need
- Heart-Shaped Shaker Windows. (3″x2.75″)
- Glossy Cardstock
- Sweettarts Conversation Hearts (or heart-shaped Candy)
- Embelishments (optional)
How to Make Valentine Shaker Cards

Reccomended Printer settings
- Print Quality – High or Best
- Paper Type – Photo Glossy or Specialty Paper Glossy
- Entire Page – Borderless
2 – Cut out each card and fill out the To and From portion. (This can also be done after, but it’s easier if you fill it out before adding the shaker window)

3 – On a flat surface, place the candy on the large pink heart. If you are using SweetTarts Conversation Hearts, make sure the printing is face up. Place as many or as few as you want.

4 – Remove the adhesive from the plastic Heart, and press onto the heart, lining up the edges. Give it a shake to make sure it is ready to give away.

5 – If you didn’t fill out the card before adding the shaler window, complete it now.
6 – Hand out your Valentine Shaker Heart cards to friends and family.
