This Cheesy Ham Noodle casserole recipe brings back fond memories of cold days, fresh bread, and a delicious casserole, all homemade by my mother. She even made her own family cookbook, lovingly referred to as “Tried and True, where this recipe was first place in the casserole section.

This Cheesy Ham Noodle casserole is a favourite for the whole family. It’s my go-to recipe after Christmas or Easter when I’m looking to use up all that leftover ham.

It also freezes exceptionally well for later. I used a 9″x 13″ baking dish but you could easily make in smaller casserole dishes and freeze one for later or make minis for that college student you’re sending off to school.

STUDENT-FRIENDLY!

This recipe freezes well. If you have a college or university student heading off on their own, it’s nice to send along a few meals. We all want to make sure that our kids are eating right and what a perfect way to do that. I have frozen a half dozen portions in microwaveable trays and they are easy to reheat when it’s time to eat. I use the Ez preppa meal boxes. They are microwavable and can go from the freezer right to the microwave. They are awesome

This recipe for Cheesy Ham Noodle Casserole also works well when preparing meals for seniors. Be sure to cut the ham into small manageable pieces. Freeze them in small portions in the Ez Preppa containers and have ready-to-serve meals available for any senior.
