How to Make an Easter Egg Topiary
Step-by-Step Instructions
1 – Cut the floral foam to fit your small flower pot. A great tool is a canary cardboard knife.
2- Insert the foam into your flower pot and insert the dowel into the center.
2 – Push the first egg onto the dowel. Angle the egg slightly..

3 – Tilt the next egg at an angle and push it onto the dowel on top of the first egg.
4 -Add a short dowel into the top of the second egg.

5 – Push the third egg onto the second dowel, angling the egg in the opposite direction.
6 – Remove the dowel from the foam and glue ribbon or yarn to the bottom of the dowel and then return it to the foam.

7 – Add moss or easter grass to the top of the floral foam, securing it with hot glue.

8 – Add a decorative ribbon to the bottom dowel.

9 – Enjoy!

Tips for Success
Finding Large Foam Eggs
I purchased my foam glitter eggs at Dollar Tree. I was able to find them at Amazon and posted the link above in the supplies section. Sometimes, you may get forwarded to a similar link if they are not in stock. If this happens, you can always make glitter eggs. Apply a good tacky glue to the outside of a foam egg and cover in glitter. To keep the glitter from falling off, apply a coat of Mod Podge Ultra spray and allow it to dry. The Mod Podge spray is fantastic and will keep your glitter from shedding. This is especially important it using a table.
Storage and Packing instructions
For packing, wrap the top of the pot and the moss in plastic wrap. Wrap it around the sides and over the top to keep the moss in place. A few sheets of tissue paper lightly wrapped around the eggs will keep them intact. Placing them in a box will also protect them from damage.
To keep your bow looking nice, add a little tissue into the bow to hold it open. If you use a wired edge ribbon, this will not be an issue.
I hope you have found this fun Easter post inspiring. Great crafting projects start with inspiration…
