How to Make a Fluffy Sheep
Download the Free Printable or SVG Sheep Face pattern.
Cut the pool noodle and the sheep ornament face pattern piece.
The pool noodle can be any length you like, but 3 inches is what I typically use for the best look.
Cut a long piece of yarn. approximately 4 feet long. You can cut it longer if you wish, but I find 4-5 feet lengths are more manageable.
Tread the yarn through the threader.
Poke the threader through the opening of the pool noodle.
Hold one end of the yarn on the noodle and repeat, looping the yarn over the pool noodle.
Continue wrapping the yarn around the noodle until your yarn is too short.
Add a small amount of hot glue and secure the yarn onto the noodle.
Repeat the process until the noodle is completely covered. Make sure no gaps or pool noodle colour is showing through the yarn.
Adhere the face to one end of the covered noodle.
Adhere the googly eyes to the face.
To make a Fluffy Sheep Ornament- Thread yarn through the top of the sheep and attach a jump ring. (or create a large loop in the twine/string for hanging)
Insert the golf tees into the underside of the fluffy sheep.
Hang or display.

Helpful Tips and FAQs

Alternative to Chenille Yarn
Chenille yarn gives the best appearance when done, but you can use any thick fuzzy yarn, such as faux fur yarn, alpaca yarn or merino wool.
Non-yarn options include gluing small pompoms to the noodle or using quilt batting to cover the noodle.
Storing your Fluffy Sheep
If you have an ornament box or a box with cardboard dividers, place it in a compartment away from items or ornaments. If anything heavy sits on the sheep, it can cause the noodle to become deformed.
