The Strawberry season is here and every year I love to freeze strawberries. This post explains how you can easily freeze Strawberries, so you can enjoy them year-round. You can use them to make sauces, in recipes, make jam in January, for smoothies or just to have a bowl of strawberries with ice cream. Saving some strawberries is always a must.
Freezing doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming. This is the no-hassle way. Freeze a little or freeze a lot. Use your strawberries when the season has passed. The flavour lasts through the freezing process and they taste delightful in and on many desserts.

If you prefer to have frozen sliced strawberries, you can easily slice them and lay them flat on the baking sheet. Use some parchment on the sheet to make it easier to remove the slices.

!- Wash and remove the stems from your berries.
2- put them on a baking sheet (make sure it will fit in your freezer)
3- freeze overnight.
4- Remove from the freezer. Tap the bottom of the baking sheet.
5- scoop them all into a large-sized Ziploc freezer bag.
6- Don’t forget to label the bag with the date of freezing.
VOILA. A simple no-fuss way to easily freeze strawberries.
Since they are in a large bag and they are loose, you can just take out the amount you need for a recipe. It’s so simple.
Use your thawed strawberries on top of angel food cake or make a strawberry syrup for cheesecake or ice cream. The thawed strawberries are perfect for use in making homemade ice cream or homemade frozen yogurt. Other uses for frozen strawberries include in smoothies and milkshakes. and they are perfect in a trifle.

How to make an easy strawberry sauce/glaze
In a medium saucepan, combine thawed strawberries, 1/3 cup sugar, and 1 tsp lemon juice. Cook over medium heat and bring the strawberry mixture to a boil. Stir frequently to keep from burning. Once boiled, remove from heat and let cool completely. No mashing is necessary.
