How to Make Printable Flower Cards
The video above demonstrates the method to make these cards; the printable in the video is different, but the process is the same.
1. Download and Print Your Free Cards
Start by downloading the free printable Mother’s Day cards. Click the button below for an immediate download of the free printable. If you are interested in the scripture-based flower cards, check the free printable at the end of this post.

2. Cut Out the Cards
Cut along the trim lines around the edge of the cards,
They are slightly larger than a traditional bookmark, so the flower and ribbon have room without covering the message.
3. Add the Ribbon Holes
Use a hole punch to make a single hole at the top of each card.
Make 2 holes about 1/3 of the way down on each side of the card. These holes will allow for the ribbon to be threaded through and hold the flower in place.
Using an eyelet tool, add an eyelet to the top hole and both of the side holes.

4. Add the Ribbons
Cut the ribbon into two 10-12-inch lengths.
Thread one piece of ribbon through the top punched hole, and loop it so that it is a bookmark top ribbon
Thread a ribbon through the side holes, so that the end of the ribbon lies on the front of the card. This ribbon will be used to secure the flower. Keep the ribbon centred to make tying simple.
5. Attach a Fresh Flower
Lay a flower stem vertically centred on the front of the card.
Tie the ribbon gently but securely around the stem, finishing with a bow.
Trim the stem so that it is even or above the bottom of the card,
Carnations are especially cost-effective, sturdy, and budget-friendly for group events.
6. Store Until Ready to Hand Out
Keep the completed cards in a cool area.
Flowers can stay fresh for several hours out of water, perfect for events.
If using flowers sensitive to drying out, keep the flowers in water until right before handing out or use a water pick on the bottom of each flower.
7. Share and Brighten Someone’s Day
Hand out the cards during your Mother’s Day celebration.
Once the flower is removed, the card becomes a pretty bookmark that keeps the encouraging message front and center.
